MAKEUP TIPS: LINING YOUR LOWER LASHES

Lining your lower lashes creates a very smouldering affect and also gives them the illusion of being much fuller. The overall result is a pair of well framed, mysterious looking eyes with Amaterasu

I love the way my eyes look when I wear eyeliner on my lower lashes. Lining your lower lashes creates a very smouldering affect and also gives them the illusion of being much fuller. The overall result is a pair of well framed, mysterious looking eyes.

Over the years, my friends have asked for tips on how to replicate this look without making their eyes look way too intense, especially in the day time. My first advice is to not draw in your line too thick and secondly, stay away from super jet black eye liners. I think we have all been down that road a few times and then eventually gave up.

Instead, opt for a dark brown liner like the Amaterasu Liquid Eyeliner in Espresso, which is water-proof and smudge-free. The Espresso liner is a cool dark brown which won’t make you look like you have bloodshot eyes and it is slightly softer in intensity than a jet black liner. Rest assured, it delivers just the right amount of impact. In fact, I wear the Espresso liner for my daytime look all the time. It is my ultimate go-to makeup from working out to running errands.

Another alternative is to try this look with a soft black eye pencil, however make sure to look for one that is not going to smudge-off after 20 minutes or else you will have to deal with racoon eyes.

Some helpful steps to help you get started:

  1. Always make sure to blot around your eye area to remove any excess oil
  2. Dust a light layer of powder around and under your eyes
  3. Apply the liner from the outer corner of your lower lashes and inwards. How far you bring in your liner to the inner corner of your eyes will depends on how intense you want this look to be

Wearing liner on your lower lash line always make your eyes look way better in photos. Trust me and definitely try it out soon!

Until next time,
