HOT MAKEUP TIPS FROM #NYFW

#NYFW makeups on #NYFW

It’s our favourite time of the year: The Fall Season when our closet is crying out for new boots and coats to start the season off right. Then comes that new sweater, scarf and just maybe a nice bag too? While selecting our clothes for Autumn, we also want to make sure our makeup is on point. We are also looking ahead to Spring 2018 too and will share some key trends to watch out for.

What’s hot this Fall in makeup?

Boldness in the Eyes!

From the runway to the streets of New York City, the focus is on boldness. We are not suggesting you go all out, or nothing at all. Key makeup artists everywhere are focusing on either extreme lashes with minimal eye shadow, or super bold eyeliner paired with nude lips.

The necessity of Metallics and Foiled Shadows

Metallics and foiled shadows are huge right now, but with a new twist of contrasting textures. An example of this is to pair a metallic shade with a matte highlight. This is a great way to offset the effect of this makeup look. Think: modern-day Ziggy Stardust.

Rounded Cateye? What is this?

The anticipated look for Spring is high-impact eyeliner or the rounded cateye, your choice!

If you are not familiar with the rounded cateye, you can google the image here. Eyeliner is bold but instead of the usual winged edge we are used to seeing, the cateye has a rounded tip. Check it out and see if this is a trend that might work for you!

The new way to wear Bright Eyeshadow.

The use of bright shadow is done skillfully either at the corner of the eyes or placed on the bottom lashline as an accent. Gone are the days with bright colours, 1980's style. The new colourful look features subtle, carefully placed accents to add a dramatic boost to the eyes.

Give the above and try and let us know which are some of your new favourite looks.

Have fun!

Sara
