Question: Before we start off with the tools to acquire this look, what do you envision when you think of Modern Geisha makeup?
Sara: I think my version of the Modern Geisha is certainly more westernized. To me, she has a minimal amount of face makeup but a very nice cateye, beautiful lashes and perfectly groomed brows.
Question: What key products do you need to achieve the Modern Geisha look and how would you apply them?
Sara: Start off with your brows by using a Liquid Brow Liner in a shade that matches your hair colour.
Then use the Liquid Eyeliner in either Espresso or Black to perfect your cateye and follow up by using an Eye Pencil in the lower lashline.
Complete the look with three coats of the Ultra Volume Mascara, followed by two coats of the Massive Length Mascara.
Question: Now that we know how to get the look, what does the Modern Geisha look embody to you?
Sara: She is a modern woman who wears many hats and, in fact, most of our customers fit this description. She is a successful executive, a self-employed entrepreneur and/or a mom who juggles a busy work and home life. She has no time to worry about her makeup smudging or how it could potentially affect her sensitive skin. This is her go-to look and she knows she wears it well.
