THE BEST WAY TO REMOVE YOUR MASCARA

The Best Way To Remove Your Mascara from Amaterasu Beauty on Vimeo.

Some things seem too good to be true, but we assure you our mascaras are both good and true.

We have had a lot of feedback from our clients who adore our mascaras and want to know the best way to remove it. The answer is beyond simple: massage your lashes with warm water and the mascara will gently and easily slide off.

This seems to be a bit of a foreign concept to some of us, as we are used to having to use an eye makeup remover or even coconut oil to remove our makeup. However, our exclusive, clean formula allows for the incredible function of being removed with warm water only.

It’s similar to when you wash the dishes, in order to get rid of the grease on the plates you need to use mildly hot water to clean them properly. One of the reasons our mascaras can be easily removed with just warm water is that it doesn’t contain harsh chemicals such as tar that are often used in many conventional brand mascaras. One of the main ingredients is beeswax, which means it can dissolve effortlessly with just warm water.

The temperature of the water is key here as well. Overly hot water is never good for the sensitive facial area, especially around the eyes. If the water is too cool it will not activate the product to break down and will thus not wash off easily. The ideal temperature should feel pleasantly warm, just above body temperature. If it is not working for you, simply increase the water temperature ever so slightly.

Massaging your lashes gently with wet fingertips, you will feel the product lightly loosen and come off quickly and easily. After a few times you will master this and you will wonder why you ever needed to use eye makeup remover! Our brow and liquid liners can also be removed just using warm water.

So in a few simple steps, here is how you remove our mascara:

  1. Splash the eye area with warm water.
  2. Gently massage the lashes with your fingertips and water as needed.
  3. Rinse the eye area a few times with warm water.
It’s that simple! It’s so easy being green.
