Hawaii is one of my favorite places in the world – it’s a tropical paradise which makes you feel like you never have a worry in the world.  The warm sun beating down on your brown skin, the sound of waves crashing along the beach, and the soft sand between your toes makes you become instantly relaxed.

I recently spent one month in Hawaii where I became a Mrs., and enjoyed a tropical honeymoon. I quickly began to notice that I didn’t need nearly as much makeup than I would normally use due to the warm humid weather, laid back culture, and endless water activities. The first few days of my trip, I was applying my regular routine daily face which consisted of: primer, concealer, Geisha Ink Loose Mineral Foundation, Amaterasu Liquid Brow Liner, eye shadow, Amaterasu Liquid Eyeliner, blush, mineral powder, and to top it off, Amaterasu Ultra Volume Mascara.

After the wedding, my makeup drastically changed and my routine was cut down to minutes. To start off the day, I would apply a light face lotion and sunscreen to protect my skin from the sun’s intense UV rays. Next, I put on Geisha Ink Loose Mineral Foundation (Miyuki) with the Amaterasu Kabuki Brush to even out my skin tone. Using circular motions, the soft Amaterasu Kabuki Brush buffs the powder into my skin, making it look flawless! I find that applying a powder base allows for other products to go on smoothly and last longer. After the foundation, I use Amaterasu Liquid Brow Liner  (brunette) to define and shape my eyebrows. I apply several layers to make it more opaque. This eyebrow pen is so easy to use and dries in seconds. The last product that I use to complete my natural island look is Amaterasu Ultra Volume Mascara. After curling my eyelashes, I would apply 3 coats of mascara – it instantly lengthens and defines my eyelashes, making my eyes look bigger and more awake. For those special date nights, all I had to do was add Amaterasu Liquid Eyeliner and a little blush – this changed the look from day to night in seconds!

These products were amazing in the tropical weather! They lasted through the continuous sweating, the high humidity and the endless hours in the ocean. Even after snorkeling with a mask suctioned to my face for half the day, I would come out of the water with all my makeup still looking perfect. I was always paranoid that the ocean waves would wash off my eyebrows, and I was constantly asking my husband if my makeup was okay – his response was always “looks good!” Not only do these products stay on during the whole day, they also remove easily with warm water and facial cleanser. These products never fail, and their amazing performance always seems to amaze me.

My all time favorite products are Amaterasu Liquid Brow Liner and Amaterasu Liquid Eyeliner. The microfiber tip on both products allows for a precise and easy application. They go on smoothly, stay flawless the entire day, but also remove easily with warm water and facial cleanser. I love that I can control the opacity of Amaterasu Liquid Brow Liner by layering the product. The Amaterasu Liquid Eyeliner is fantastic for achieving either a day or evening look, as it can draw a super thin line or a thick cat eye in seconds. Not only that, the line comes out perfect! These are my go-to products that I could never live without!
