I am one who is always very excited for newness. I think new things bring new beginnings, and this happy thought charges me forward and puts a huge smile on my face.
As we start off 2017 with the best intentions, let’s not forget to get rid of those old makeup products we have collected over the years. You know the ones we keep digging through in order to locate our go-to products in the drawer. My personal rule is, if I haven’t used it for 6 months, I doubt I will have much use for it. Not forgetting also, that it is unhygienic to keep old makeup around. So be strong and take 30 minutes to sort through what you haven’t used for ages and discard it to the garbage.
Trust me, once you have done that you will feel so much better. Your drawer will be roomier and you no longer will have to go through the same frustration in the morning of rummaging through old makeup just to get to what you’re actually looking for.
Remember to conduct a quick inventory of your current staple products. If you are running low on some products, this is the time to go to the store and replenish them.
Then, take a look and conduct a quick inventory of your current staple products. If you are running low on some products, this is the time to go to the store and replenish them. The same goes with products on your wish list that you haven’t gotten around to trying yet. For me personally, I like to jump online and read reviews or talk to my best girlfriends about these must-try products I’ve been hearing so much about. A little treat is always good for the soul and makes me super giddy.
Speaking of new must-tries, if you haven’t already – be sure to check out our latest: Shimmer Eye Pencil and my new favourite Massive Length Mascara.
So, to recap, why keep yucky old products around that just take up space? Obviously, we bought it years ago and it didn’t work. To keep these products around would just be a bad reminder so discard, discard, discard!
Happy New Year to you!
